Als Amazon letztes Jahr das Kindle Fire in Amerika ankündigte, ahnte noch niemand etwas von dessen unglaublichen Erfolg. Bereits nach einem halben Jahr war das Kindle Fire trotz seiner geringeren Leistung das meistverkaufte Tablet auf dem US-amerikanischen Tablet-Markt nach Apples iPad. Nur eines war nicht zu wollen: Es außerhalb der USA zu kaufen, denn das ändert sich erst mit dem Kindle Fire HD.
